GLENN HUGHES Announces Rescheduled Dates For His 'Classic Deep Purple Live' U.K. Tour
May 15, 2019Legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, BLACK SABBATH) has announced the rescheduled dates for his U.K. tour, which was postponed due to illness.
The new dates are as follows:
Nov. 17 - Salisbury, UK - City Hall
Nov. 20 - Norwich, UK - Waterfront (venue change from Norwich UEA)
Nov. 23 - Holmfirth, UK - Picturedrome
Nov. 29 - Birmingham, UK - O2 Institute
Refunds for customers who've purchased tickets for the original dates can be made available until Monday, May 27 should they no longer wish to or are unable to attend the rescheduled November dates.
The rescheduled concerts follow the news of Hughes needing to cancel his May 2019 U.K. tour. He needs to be treated for an issue that while not life threatening, must be dealt with immediately so that does not become a serious problem. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The shows for Edinburgh, St Albans, Liverpool and Nottingham had to be canceled. Customers for the canceled shows have been asked to return to their original point of purchase to request refunds.
Hughes spent key years of his career as the beloved bassist and vocalist of DEEP PURPLE, appearing on the classic albums "Burn", "Stormbringer" and "Come Taste the Band". More recently, he has been playing various hits and deep cuts from the DEEP PURPLE catalog, including "Burn", "Stormbringer", "Sail Away" and "Smoke On The Water", as part of his "Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live" tour, which was launched in 2017.
